Jericha Peterson, LISW-CP

Founder/Therapist

Greetings and Salutations!

I’m Jericha Peterson, LISW-CP, and I founded GHW Therapy to create a space where healing is compassionate, culturally aware, and practical. Over the years I’ve seen how much we carry is layered—family stories, trauma we never asked for, and survival patterns we’ve learned to normalize. My work is trauma-informed and psychodynamic, grounded in curiosity, respect, and collaboration. Together, we’ll make sense of your patterns, build safer ways to cope, and move toward the life you want—while honoring everything you’ve survived.

As a BIPOC clinician, I know what it’s like to come from a community where therapy hasn’t always been accessible, accepted, or encouraged. I’ve also sat on the other side of the chair—as a client—and I know how vulnerable, transformative, and sacred this work can be.

I’m committed to a culturally sensitive, identity-affirming space—especially for people of color—where healing is possible and purpose can be reclaimed.

Therapeutic Approach

I offer therapy through a trauma-informed, psychodynamic lens, helping you explore how past experiences, relationships, and intergenerational patterns shape how you think, feel, and function today. My work is individualized and draws from TF-CBT to support emotional regulation, clarify unhelpful thoughts, and build practical coping strategies. I also provide perinatal mental health support for those navigating postpartum adjustment, identity shifts, and parenting challenges.

As a BIPOC clinician, I’m committed to culturally responsive, identity-affirming care that honors the intersections of identity, family history, and systemic influences. My goal is to offer a safe, supportive space where you can heal, gain insight, and move toward purposeful change.

"When we heal ourselves, we heal the next generation that follows. Pain is passed through the family line until someone is ready to feel it, heal it, and let go. ~Phoebe Garnsworthy
